The Executive Committee
What the committee does every day
Meeting at least once every quarter, the Executive Committee is the engine that turns community priorities into real programmes.
Implement Decisions
Carries out the decisions of the General Assembly and prepares annual work plans and budgets for approval.
Manage Responsibly
Mobilises resources, supervises programmes and staff, and manages WCEAD's property and finances responsibly.
Ensure Compliance
Maintains relationships with Government and partners, and ensures WCEAD operates within its Constitution and the law.

Accountability
Leadership that answers to the community
WCEAD's leadership is accountable to its members through the General Assembly — the supreme decision-making organ. Office bearers are elected by secret ballot or show of hands, serve a three-year term, and can be removed for misconduct or misuse of funds following our Constitution's disciplinary process.
Financial reports are presented at least annually, accounts are examined each year by an independent person, and three authorised signatories control the organisation's bank account.
